BRISTOLVILLE -- Alfred Palumbo Jr., 93, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at Hospice House.
He was born March 9, 1932, in Cleveland, a son of the late Alfred Palumbo and Jeanette Reed Miller.
Alfred was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He later went on to work at Copperweld Steel, where he was a roller in the 35-inch mill and where he retired after 35 years.
Alfred was a fan of the Cleveland Indians. He loved farming and had pride in the animals he raised and the garden he faithfully cared for. Most of all, Alfred loved his family.
He is survived by his children, Joyce (Arnold) Barzak, Jonathan David Palumbo, Janet (Ric) Weirick, Jody (Denise) Palumbo, James (Lori) Palumbo, Jennifer (Aaron) Heikkila, Jerrid (Meghan) Palumbo, Julie (Anthony) Holbrook and Jason (Elena) Palumbo; along with 27 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna; the mother of his children, Deloras Jean; daughter, Cherry Jean; son, Joseph Palumbo; brother, Jim Palumbo; and sister, Dora Root.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the emergency room staff of St. Joseph Warren Hospital, the SICU at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and Hospice of the Valley.
There will be no services at this time.
Carl W. Hall Funeral Home has been entrusted with Alfred's cremation and arrangements.
