COLUMBUS -- Patricia A. Lester, affectionately known as Patty, Mom, Memaw and Great-Memaw, 87, formerly of Niles, passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
She was born Aug. 5, 1938, in Turkey Branch, W.Va., the daughter of Grant and Verdi Robinson. Patty grew up in a lively home as the youngest of nine children.
Patty was a member of First Baptist Church in Niles and worked the floors at Kmart for many years, a career that brought her much joy and lasting friendships.
She had a gift for making people feel loved. Patty knew nearly everyone in Niles, and, if she didn't know you yet, she wanted to. Her door was always open, and, if you came hungry, she made sure you left full, with seconds and leftovers packed up.
Anyone who knew Patty knew about her sons, daughter and granddaughters, who were the pride of her life. She loved her family with all her heart and celebrated every accomplishment, big and small, capturing each moment in countless photographs. She was an angel on Earth and will be sorely missed.
Patty is survived by her two sons, Timothy (Beth) Lester of Columbus and Bryan Lester of Niles; her daughter, Pam (Bruce) Llewellyn of Lakeland, Florida; granddaughters, Alyssa (Nick) Baez and Amber (Johny) Quach; her great-granddaughter, Isla Quach; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ronald E. Lester, who passed away Nov. 5, 1994; her parents; and her eight siblings.
Services will be held at noon Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at Kerr Cemetery Chapel.
Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
