NILES -- Linda Mae Tripodi, 72, passed away peacefully at 7:38 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital, following a short illness.
Linda was born Oct. 17, 1953, in Youngstown, the daughter of William Edward and Katherine Pluchinsky Confoey.
Linda was a 1972 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a member of St. Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
She enjoyed making ceramics as a hobby and was a waitress at several area restaurants for many years. Linda was also a clerk at the former Carlisle's Department Store in Niles.
Linda is survived by her husband, Kenneth Tripodi, whom she married Oct. 12, 1979; daughter, Katie and Tom Hank of Howland; sister, Nancy Vaughn of Sterling, Virginia; niece, Heather and James Gallas; nephew, Douglas Vaughn II; and great-nephews, Troy and Nicholas Fracyon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at St. Pope John XXIII Parish-St. Stephen Church, Niles, with the Rev. Leo Wehrlin officiating.
Burial will be in the Niles City Cemetery.
