GUSTAVUS -- Irene Flora Marshall, 82, passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 18, 2025, at the Hospice House in Poland.
Irene was born Sept. 15, 1943, in Warren, a daughter of the late Steve Ragalyi Sr. and Myrtle Flora Jones Ragalyi.
She was a 1961 graduate of Joseph Badger High School and became a proud homemaker when she married the love of her life, Loyd Marshall, on Dec. 19, 1964, and began their family together.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cared deeply for her family. She loved to cook and bake for family gatherings and made each family member's birthday special for them. She cheered on her grandchildren at their sporting and academic competitions. She got great joy and was a big help at her granddaughter's Girl Scout Troop's many ceremonies and camp outs. She made many happy memories on family vacations and later traveling across the country and around the world with her husband. She lived her entire home life at four different residences within one square mile of each other in Gustavus.
Irene will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Loyd Marshall; her children, Michael (Gina) Marshall, Patricia (Mark) Hecker and Karen (Mike) Forsha; grandchildren, Jessica (Chad) Popa, Cody (Toni) Marshall, Travis Hecker, Matthew Hecker, Robin Forsha and Cassie Forsha; great-grandchildren, Sydney and Carter Marshall; her sister, with whom she had a very special bond, Anne Wear; and her sister-in-law, Gertrude Starling. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Marshall; grandson, Josh Marshall; and brothers, Albert and Steve Ragalyi, and Rolland and Robert Chambers; and brother-in-law, Bill Wear.
Per Irene's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements were entrusted with Baumgardner Funeral and Cremation Service in Kinsman.
Memorial contributions can be made to Gustavus Federated Church at 8849 Youngstown-Kingsville Road Farmdale, OH 44417.
