Barbara A. Hilterman 1935-2025

Barbara was born in Rootstown on Nov. 23, 1935, to Paul and Nina Kibler. After graduating from Howland High School in 1953, Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Tom Hilterman. They were married for 64 years before Tom’s passing in 2017.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Nina Kibler; husband, Tom Hilterman; son, Ron Hilterman; and brother, Joe Kibler.

She leaves behind her two sons, Tom (Denise) Hilterman of Carlisle, Pa., and Greg (Liz) Hilterman of Chino, California; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Hilterman of Auburn, Alabama.

Also surviving are two sisters, Betty Romo of Warren and Paula Smith of Raleigh, North Carolina; and one brother, David Kibler of Warren; as well as six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

There will be no services.

Barbara will be buried alongside her husband Tom in Vienna.
