Albert F. Capatch 1950-2025

CORTLAND -- Albert Frank Capatch, 75, passed away peacefully into eternal rest, Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 13, 1950, in Warren, a son of the late Albert C. Capatch and Josephine S. Carpetta Capatch.

Albert married the love of his life, Debra C. McKee, on Feb. 4, 1984; they enjoyed 41 wonderful years of marriage together.

He lived in Cortland since 1994 and was formerly of Newton Falls, where he graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1968. Albert worked as an assembler at General Motors Lordstown for 38 years, retiring in 2017. He also was a past member of Cortland Moose Lodge 1012 and UAW 1714. Albert enjoyed watching sports and loved his animals, especially his cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Loretta Anne Hoerig.

Albert is survived by his wife, Debra C. Capatch of Cortland; his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia (Gene) Metek of Medina; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger McKee (Aileen Bloom) of West Bloomfield, Michigan, and Tara (Jonathan) Gray of Medfield, Massachusetts; many nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Lisa, Jennifer, Rebecca, Allison, Raphaela, Hayden and Beckett; great-nieces, Justine, Rhiannon, Sara and Bella; and great-nephew, Cameron.

Private family services will be held.

He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery, Newton Falls.
