WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE -- Margie Lou Keplinger Orinin, 99, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at Court House Manor in Washington Court House, with her family at her side.

She was born Dec. 2, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Dr. Roy R. and Anna Furhop Keplinger.

Margie graduated from high school in Chicago and attended Lawrence University. She was a charter member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Howland, a homemaker, school secretary for the Howland School System and secretary for the Meals on Wheels program.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy Orinin of Shaker Heights, Wendy (John) Royse of Greenfield and Amy (John) Ford of Hudson; six grandchildren, Rob (Colleen) Cunningham, Courtney Danklefsen, Lindsey (Jeff) Siedel, Scott Roysße, Rory (Ashley) Ford and Devin (Maury Koffman) Ford; 12 great-grandchildren; and several special nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Orinin, on March 18, 1997; three stepbrothers, William, George and Tom Nielsen; her special sister-in-law, Bobbie Orinin Harvey; both parents; and her stepmother, Alma Nielsen Keplinger.

Cremation will take place. A private memorial service will be at the convenience of the family.
