CORTLAND -- Gwendolyn L. Seljan, 84, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at her home.
She was born March 3, 1941, in Aleppo, Pa., the daughter of the late Ralph Whipkey and Genevieve Moose Whipkey.
Gwendolyn was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She retired from General Electric Ohio Lamp plant after 41 years. She was a lifetime member of the Salvation Army Church.
Gwendolyn enjoyed reading, gardening, antiques and spending time at their vacation home in Restoule, Ontario, Canada.
She is survived by her husband, Harry "Art" Seljan; sister-in-law, Marilyn Whipkey; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Whipkey.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any material contributions be made to the Salvation Army in her memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
