FORT WORTH, Texas -- Early Sunday afternoon, Aug. 3, 2025, William D. Clugsten passed into the arms of our Lord with his loving wife, Nikki, by his side.
Bill was born Aug. 5, 1958, to Bill and Pat Clugsten, and grew up with his brothers and sister in Rootstown.
Winning the God and Country Award from the Boy Scouts was an accomplishment of which Bill was always so proud.
He graduated from Rootstown High School in 1976 and went on to graduate from Akron University Community and Technical College with honors.
Bill went on to have a successful career with Radio Shack, retiring as senior director of real estate.
Left to cherish and honor his memory is his wife of 37 years, Nikki (Macris) Clugsten; his brothers, Ron (Marcia) and Tim (Peg); his sister, Deborah; sisters-in-law, Pam (Tony) Limperos and Nina (Tony) Grech; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Because Bill lived a large portion of his life in Ohio and Texas, there will be a celebration of life service 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at First United Methodist Church of Watauga, 6112 Watauga Road, Watauga, TX 76148, followed by a luncheon provided by the church family.
In Ohio, there will be calling hours 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, OH, 44483, and a graveside funeral at 12:30 p.m. in Howland Township Cemetery.
