Shirley A. Dietelbach 1941-2025

HOWLAND — Shirley A. Dietelbach, 84, entered into eternal rest, Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, at home.

She was born March 18, 1941, in Hartford, a daughter of Joseph and Margaret Bavola Lisak.

A graduate of Howland High School, Shirley was a bright, beautiful woman with an adventurous spirit, always willing to try new things. Shirley belonged to the Vienna Fish & Game Club, the Trumbull County Conservation Club, the Board of Realtors, the Cortland Moose Lodge, and was a former member of the Avalon Inn. She was very athletic and played in traveling softball leagues well into adulthood, later moving from playing to coaching Pam’s teams. She rode a dirt bike and a trike, owned a pontoon boat and found her way to the casinos. She loved to travel, having made five trips to the Bahamas and going to Pam’s pool tournaments in Las Vegas.

Shirley retired from the Ohio Edison lab at the power plant in Niles and she was well-known for her successful years as a realtor with Northwoods Realty.

Precious memories of Shirley live on with her two children, Douglas Dietelbach (Margaret Gideon) of Lordstown and Pamela Dietelbach (John Everett) of Howland; one sister, Donna Green of Mecca; and many other friends who loved her dearly and remember her fondly.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 4 p.m. All who knew and loved Shirley are welcome to attend and celebrate her remarkable life.

The burial of her urn will take place at a later date in All Souls Cemetery.
