WARREN -- Samuel C. Troy, 87, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, at home.
Sam was born July 17, 1938, in Warren, a son of Sante and Carmella Spagnola Troy.
He was a member of the Ohio National Guard.
He retired from WCI Steel and was a former member of the Church of God in Leavittsburg. Survivors include Anita R. Fonce Troy; sons, Roy Root, Dallas Root Sr. and Samuel Troy; daughter, Rosemary Cibella; brother, Anthony Troy; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Sam was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Root Jr. and Christopher Root.
