Linda M. Vestal 1947-2025
WARREN — Linda Marie Stein Vestal, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Linda was able to live her final few years in the comfort and care of her daughter Debra’s and husband Joe’s home with extra help from her granddaughter, Lyndsie, and husband, Curtis, as well as daily visits from her grandson, Dylan and wife, Trisha. We would also like to give a huge thank you to Grace Hospice Care for all of their end-of-life care and support to Linda and her family.
Linda graduated from Warren G. Harding High School. She was a Realtor for Sava Realty before becoming a bus driver for Warren City Schools, where she retired after 26 years. Linda enjoyed going to Geneva-on-the-Lake every summer with her family. Linda was an avid supporter and donator to AWL and St. Jude children’s hospital.
She was a strong woman of faith and attended Christ Memorial Baptist Church. We would like to thank her pastor and family for their visits to the home when Linda was unable to continue services at the church.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Maryann and Chet; sister, Sandra; brother, Carl; two nieces, Brenda and Wendy; and nephew, Patrick.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Vestal (Joe) Hanshaw; her grandchildren, David (Gina) Shelko, Lyndsie (Curtis) Byers and Dylan (Trisha) Hanshaw; great-granddaughters, Hailey and Julianna Shelko; great-grandson, Jaxon Byers; her sister, Shirley Bowers and her children, William (Amy Jane) Bowers, Rebecca (Jason) Moore and Trace (Alessa) Fouse; and great-nephews and great-nieces, Jason, Jamie and Julia Bowers, and Alana, Alex and Vada Moore.
A celebration of life for Linda will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Animal Welfare League AWL or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her honor.
We also would like to recommend Grace Hospice Care for any hospice needs. They couldn’t have been any more kind and compassionate with Linda and all of us. We have so much comfort knowing she received the best care possible in her final months.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
