Joyce Barker 1959-2025

WARREN — Joyce Barker, 65, a devoted family woman and lifelong resident of Warren, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

A Warren Western Reserve High School graduate, Joyce built a life filled with purpose, marrying her beloved husband, David “Dee” Barker, on March 5, 1993, and raising children who, along with their friends, were deeply cherished by her.

Her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, will deeply miss her warmth and spirit.

Surrounded by children, Joshua A. White (Shyann), Charles White (Tiffany) and Heather (Tayvis), all of Warren, Daniel Weaver (Amanda) of Florida and David White (Holly) of Niles.

She leaves behind many siblings, Jerry White of Warren, Roy White of Lordstown, Dexter White of Florida and Russell.

As those who knew her could tell you, Joyce loved to play bingo in her free time. She also loved hosting family events and cookouts at her house. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

Joyce’s legacy lives on through her loved ones, who remember her joyful humor, fierce loyalty and generous heart. Oh, and it can’t be forgotten, she loved playing the lottery.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Dexter and Esta White; brothers, Bobby Boone and Jimmy White; her niece, Jennifer Boone-Parisi; her sister, Leona; her beloved grandson, Gunner White; and great-grandson, Brooks White.

A celebration of life will be announced soon to take place next month, where friends and family will be invited to share their final farewells. In celebration of Joyce’s life, please wear her favorite color, blue.
