WARREN -- Elvira Hoskins Howard, 83, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Money, Mississippi, the daughter of Dallas Hoskins and Cornelia McClain Fiffer.
Elvira retired from Delphi Packard Electric. She was a member of Beulah Temple United Holiness Church.
Survivors include one son, Ernest Howard Jr. of Dallas, Texas; five daughters, Shirley Ann Hoskins of Plano, Texas, Edwina Simpson of Nashville, Tennessee, Cara Howard of Dallas, Texas, Christene Howard-Tanksley of Dallas, Texas, and Sherri Dean of Warren; two sisters, Mary Hannah of Greenwood, Missouri, and Bettye Echols of Chicago, Illinois; 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Howars Sr., three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Beulah Temple United Holiness Church, Youngstown. Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Burial will take place in Pine Knoll Cemetery.
