Bonita D. Sheldon 1942-2025
CHAMPION — Bonita D. Sheldon, 83, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
She was born May 19, 1942, in Warren, a daughter of Lyle Vernon and Dolores S. Muehlheim Sweany.
Bonita was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Over the years, she worked various jobs which included: Mullee’s Appliance, Tribune Chronicle, Allen’s Bakery and JCPenneys. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Beta Sigma Phi and was a master gardener, and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She loved her flowers.
Memories of Bonita will be cherished by her children, Colleen (Paul) Swerdan of Vienna, Daniel (Diane Murphy) Sheldon of Warren, Denise (Todd) Sheldon of West Farmington and Christopher (Dianna Baycich) Sheldon of Champion; grandchildren, Lucas, Sarah, Dustin and Justin; great-granddaughter, Isabella; sister, Patsy A. Sweany; and sister-in-law, Margaret Sweany.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, LaMarr Fayette Sheldon, and brother, Lyle Marvin Sweany.
Services will be held at noon Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Champion Township Cemetery, Champion.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
