Richard D. Biles 1949-2025
SOUTHINGTON — Richard D. Biles, 76, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 18, 2025, passing away at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
He was born April 13, 1949, in Youngstown, to the late Wilfred and Elsie Weber Biles.
He was a 1967 graduate of Jackson Milton High School. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Army. In 2002, Richard retired from Delphi Packard Electric. After that, he worked for Southington Township and Charles Chevrolet.
Richard was a former master Mason of Western Reserve Lodge #507, a member of both the Scottish Rite and York Rite, a member of Opal Chapter, Eastern Star #181, National member of the American Legion, National Rifle Association and the Disabled Veteran Association.
Richard leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, JoAnn Biles, whom he married Oct. 20, 1979; his four children, Donya (Ed) Fowler of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, Sarah Miller of Champion, Rebecca (Mikie) Marlatt of Southington and Richard (Amanda) Biles, also of Southington; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth (Christopher) Moore of Kent, Zoey (Willis), Avah and Izac Miller of Champion, Molly and Maggie Marlatt of Southington, and Ava Biles, also of Southington; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Bryson Moore of Kent; his brother, Clifford Biles of North Jackson; his sister, Arleen Campbell, also of North Jackson; nieces and nephews; along with his mother-in-law, Beverly Stewart of Southington.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Avanell Hoon; his brothers, Ronald Biles and Clark Biles; his brother-in-law, Herb Campbell; and his father-in-law, Leroy Stewart. Also, his beloved dog, Beau.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a Masonic service ending the visitation on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the funeral home. Family will also receive friends one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service Saturday, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Southington Graham Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any material contributions be made, in his memory, to Southington United Methodist Church, 4348 Smith Nelson Road, Southington, OH 44470.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W Hall Funeral Home.
