David M. Weilacher 1936-2025

WARREN — David M. Weilacher, 88, passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Sept. 4, 1936, in Jamestown, New York, the son of the late Elsie and Ernest Weilacher.

Dave was a 1955 graduate of Leavittsburg High School and a veteran of the United States Army, serving in France.

He was employed by Republic Steel and retired from the office of the Trumbull County Engineer after 22 years as a bridge foreman.

Dave had a passion for refinishing furniture and woodworking. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and attended and supported all events that his children and grandchildren were involved in.

He was Past Master of the Carroll F. Clapp Masonic Lodge #655 of Warren and a member of Cortland Masonic Lodge #529 of Cortland. He was also a 32nd degree Mason Scottish Rite – Valley of Youngstown.

Dave will be deeply missed by his loving wife, whom he married Dec. 31, 1958, Mary Weilacher; and their children, David M. Weilacher II and Sandi, Dena Wargo and Phil Wargo, and Donn M. Weilacher; grandchildren, Abbey (Randy) Schornack, Julie Wargo and Coty, Greg R. Weilacher, David M. Weilacher III, and Alexus; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be noon Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Entombment will be in Meadow Brook Memorial Park, Warren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Buckeye Hospice for their outstanding care and kindness.
