Mickey L. Dakin 1945-2025

He was born Oct. 7, 1945, in Tylertown, Mississippi, the son of the late Robert and the late Pauline Lambert Cross.

Mickey worked at Packard Electric, where he met the love of his life, retiring after 32 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He enjoyed drag racing, watching NASCAR, working on cars with his son, watching the TV show Perry Mason and sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Sally Baglieri Dakin of Bristolville; son, Michael (Casey) Dakin of Bristol; daughter, Kimberly Brody of Independence; brother, David Cross; grandchildren, Anthony (Camryn Perris) Dakin, Katherine Brody, Alexis Brody, Traye (Heather) Kline, Tait (Kylie) Kline and Stevi Kline; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Frank Cross.

No services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
