Henrietta S. Allman 1941-2025

NEWTON FALLS — Henrietta Sue Allman, 83, moved to her Heavenly home on Tuesday morning, Feb. 11, 2025.

Sue was a Godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will lead them all of their lives.

Henrietta was born May 5, 1941, in Camden-On-Gauley, W.Va., to Virgil and Hazel Casto.

In Henrietta’s free time, she loved spending time with her family, baking and she couldn’t wait for Tuesdays when she volunteered at Gleaners Food Bank.

Henrietta loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, with all her heart and she loved God’s Word. Though she was a humble, gentle woman, Henrietta was nonetheless a powerful prayer warrior, and only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas C. Allman, her true love and soulmate; her daughters, Susan Maynard (John) and Sandra Shaulis (Kevin); her sons, Thomas Allman II, David Allman (Cindy) and Daniel Allman (Jennifer); her brother, Jerry Casto; her nephew, David Casto Jr. (Chelsea); her grandchildren, Brandon Shaulis (Amanda), Sarah Maynard (Justin), Danielle Allman (Nate), Emilee Allman, Kayleah Shaulis, Zack Harley (Heather) and Mitchell Harley; and her great-grandchildren, John Maynard Jr. “JJ,” Kylie Maynard and Jett Wazele.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Casto; her father, Virgil Casto; her brothers, Clifford Casto and David Casto; her grandson, John T. Maynard Sr.; and her granddaughter, Britni Shaulis.

The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at the General Assembly Church of God, 2021 E. River Road, Newton Falls, OH 44444, followed by a service to celebrate her life from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, in the sanctuary. After the service, dinner will be served.

Interment will be held in the Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Township.
