Fred M. Hawes 1947-2025
CORTLAND — Fred Marvin Hawes, 77, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at UH Seidman Cancer Center, Cleveland.
He was born Oct. 21, 1947, in Warren, a son of Clarence and Marion Jones Hawes.
He was employed as a caretaker at First Church of God in Cortland.
Survivors include his brother, Richard Hawes of Conover, North Carolina; and sisters, Charlene Beer of Indiana, Lois Leece of Florida, Irene Pratt of North Carolina and Linda Marion Jones of Cuyahoga Falls.
Fred was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Warren First Church of the Nazarene.
