WARREN -- Virgil E. Hatcher, 85, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at Kellie Reynolds Serenity House in Grove City, Ohio. He will be reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Sharon.
He was born April 10, 1939, in Crab Orchard, W.Va., to the late Elmer and Margaret Lilly Hatcher. Virgil proudly served our country as a member of the Army Reserve, receiving an honorable discharge in 1965.
Virgil will be deeply missed by his three loving children, Margaret (Randy) Campbell of Columbus, Susan (Todd) Shafer of Kinsman and Richard (Karen) Hatcher of Lewis Center; his sister, Shirley Reinbold of Marion; 11 cherished grandchildren; 13 adored great-grandchildren; and by many dear friends, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his treasured wife, Sharon; and his two brothers, Harold and Arnold.
Virgil was known for his unwavering faith in the Lord, his passion for woodworking, sharing recipes with his granddaughter and his love of gardening. He was a kind-hearted soul whose creativity and devotion touched many lives. His legacy of love, craftsmanship and nurturing will be carried on through those who knew and loved him.
