NEWTON FALLS -- Kathleen Wilson, 75, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, Oct 27, 2024, at her residence.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1949, in Indiana, Pa., the daughter of the late Emery Prokay Jr. and Anna Pauline Fryer Prokay.
Kathleen graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in the Class of 1967. After high school, she attended Kent State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She married the love of her life and best friend, Scott R. Wilson Jr. on Feb 14, 1981; and they have enjoyed the past 43 years of marriage together. Kathleen worked as a line worker and payroll clerk at GE Ohio Lamp in Warren for 38 years, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed going RVing, crocheting, baking, cooking, camping, fishing on Lake Erie, watching the grandkids play fast-pitch softball and spending time with the family.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dion Jenkins; and three sisters, Anna Louise Gregory, Frances Prokay and Janice Orr.
She is survived by her husband, Scott R. Wilson Jr. of Newton Falls; one daughter, Traci Jenkins of Howland; one stepson, Scott (Ramona) Wilson III of Newton Falls; one stepdaughter, Nicole (Edward) Prusky of Newton Falls; two sisters, Karen Gross of Newton Falls and Ellen Richter, also of Newton Falls; one brother, Emery Prokay of Warren; four grandchildren, Scott, Michelle, Matthew, and Heather; five great-grandchildren, Karlee, Allie, Olivia, Penelope and Alice; and her beloved dog, Brandi.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., with calling hours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, with the Rev. Steve Spurlock officiating.
Cremation will follow the service.
She will be laid to rest in Newton Falls cemetery.
