CORTLAND -- Thomas Andrew Yount, 71, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024.
He was born Dec. 10, 1952, in Youngstown, the son of the late Andrew and Margaret Miller Yount, and was a Cortland area resident all of his life.
A graduate of Lakeview High School, he was employed in his family's business, Miller-Yount Paving, and was also the owner-operator of Thomas Yount Trucking. He was a member of Local 66 Operating Engineers Union.
Tom was an avid lifelong Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed riding his Harley with the wind in his face.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Yount Porinchak; and two stepsons, David Ray Hill II and Nick Pozega.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cammie Turnage Yount; his son, Ray Yount; stepdaughter, Crystal Hill-Hover; a grandson, Jaden Hill; and his niece, Corrie Porinchak Hoffman.
A celebration of Tom's life will be announced and held at a later date.
