SOUTHINGTON -- Larry Overly, 67, on Wednesday evening, July 3, 2024, gained his wings with his family by his side at his residence.
Larry was born April 13, 1957, in Warren, a son of the late John and Joyce Overly.
He started his own business and was the owner and operator of Overly Milk Hauling in Southington.
He enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was fishing or mowing his yard. He loved to tinker with cars, mowers and anything that needed fixed. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Most of all, he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry was a kind and caring man and impacted anyone that were lucky enough to know him.
He will be missed by many. Larry will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Rebecca Overly, whom he married on Feb. 25, 1978; daughter, Lisa Overly and her fiance, Tim Nickells; grandchildren, Leanna Overly and Christian Nickells; siblings, Michael (Rhonda) Overly, Linda Murdoch, Judy Cadle, Connie Crosten; sisters-in-law, Jane (Dave) Arbogast and Debbie Mundell; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Overly; and his in-laws, Erving and Annalee Mundell.
Per Larry's wishes, there are no calling hours or services and arrangements were entrusted with Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Trumbull County Animal Welfare League in Vienna in Larry's memory.
