CHAMPION -- Joe Donda Jr., 75, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, at his home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1948, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Joe Donda Sr. and the late Helen Donda.
Joe was a 1966 graduate of St. Clairsville High School.
He retired from Republic Steel, after 53 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Marines having served during the Vietnam War.
Joe belonged to the American Legion and VFW in St. Clairsville. He enjoyed golfing with his buddies, working in the yard, traveling, going out to eat and hanging with his family. Joe loved Christmas.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn "Janie" Donda of Warren; daughters, Stacey Donda of Warren and Kim Crum of Shadyside; brothers, Jerry Donda, Jim (Juli) Donda and Jeff (Sandy) Donda, all of St. Clairsville, and John (Rhonda) Donda of Orrville; brother-in-law, Bret (Karen) Hurst of Leavittsburg; and grandchildren, Lexi, Katie, Mary and Maddie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, and again, one hour prior to the service on Friday, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery, Champion.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
