WARREN -- Roosevelt Virgil Haynes III, 62, died Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, following an extended illness.
He was born Dec. 14, 1961, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Roosevelt Virgil Haynes Jr. and Rosa Lee Simms Daniel.
He was employed as a foreman at Therm-O-Link Inc. and formerly at Leonard Truck and Trailer, Dave Sugar Construction and the Ravenna Arsenal.
He was a member of the Alpha & Omega Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Vanessa Irene Smith Haynes of Warren; sons, Roosevelt Virgil IV of Warren and Rawshean of Pittsburgh; daughters, Terri and Tamika Smith, both of Warren; brothers, Alvin of Indianapolis, Dino of Columbus and John L. Daniel Jr. of Warren; sisters, Valerie of Las Vegas and Gwendolyn of Warren; two stepsisters, Juanita Daniel of Youngstown and Jacqueline Daniel of Cincinnati; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one son, Willie Haynes; two brothers; and one grandchild.
Burial was private in Oakwood Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
