WARREN -- Richard Ronald G. Doermann, 52, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
He was born June 2, 1971, in Torrance, California, the son of Connie Goodson Jones, with whom he lived, and the late Michael Lee Doermann.
Richard was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran, U.S. Marine veteran and U.S. National Guard veteran.
He had a master's degree and was in law enforcement for many years. When he was in college, he played football on the offensive line for West Texas A&M.
Richard volunteered for the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Champion, and, in his younger years, he spent two years as a missionary for the church in Dayton.
Richard loved to travel and visit with his family. He loved all kinds of sports, especially Major League Baseball and traveled to different stadiums to watch the sport. He was an assistant football coach for Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. He enjoyed helping and advising the players to the best of his abilities to achieve their goals.
In addition to his loving mother, he is survived by his children, Alyssa (Tauai) Tualotamalelagi, Jordyn Doermann, Michael Lee (Emma) Doermann, Dallas (Nick) Manlowe and Levi (Elenor) Doermann, and his grandchildren, Jamie Doermann and Losefa and Adele Tualatamalelagi.
Also surviving are his siblings, Dixie (Craig) Weisgarber, Beckie Doermann and Joshua Lee (Katie) Doermann, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that mourn the loss of Richard.
Other than his father, Richard was preceded in death by his stepfather, Monte Jones.
Private memorial graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2619 E. State St., Hermitage, PA 16148, where a veteran service will take place to honor Richard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, Warren.
