GIRARD -- Judy A. Kowalczyk, 84, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Judy was born July 1, 1939, in Youngstown, the daughter of John Vila and Virginia Fernandez Vila.
Judy retired from Warren General Hospital as the director in the admissions office. Judy was an avid reader and always enjoyed spending time with her family.
Judy leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Lisa (Oscar) Franco of Lorain, Laura (David) Snyder of Kinsman and Carla (Ron) Cario of Girard; brother, Bob Vila of Champion; grandchildren, Christian (Nicole) Franco, Sidney (Emily) Snyder, Victoria Franco, Emily (Grant) Nowakowski, Frank (Gia) Rich, Hanna Snyder, William (Anastasia) Rich, Lauren Rich and Alaina Rich; and great-grandchildren Shane, Caden, Liliana, Palmer and Eva.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, William "Will" E. Kowalczyk, whom she married Nov. 25, 1961, and who died Feb. 4, 2017.
Private services were held at Blackstone Funeral Home. Judy will be laid to rest in All Souls Cemetery.
