ORANGEVILLE -- Memorial services for James Edward Wade, 75, who passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, will be at 2 p.m., with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2024, at his church, the Orangeville Methodist Church, Stateline Road, Orangeville, with the Rev. Ron McIlvaine officiating.
Born in 1948, in Sharon, Pa., the son of Grandon and Doris Jones Wade, he was a graduate of Joseph Badger High School and Bowling Green University and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
A retired teacher and coach at Joseph Badger High School, he was a member of the school's Hall of Fame and a leader of Boy Scout Troop 57.
He also served on the Orangeville City Council and was a curator of the Orangeville History Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for cat adoption to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, 812 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Vienna, OH 44473.
Arrangements were by Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, Hartford.
