David J. Centofanti 1954-2024
CANFIELD — David J. Centofanti, 69, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at Salem Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 18, 1954, in Alliance, the son of the late James and Coralie Dold Centofanti.
David was a graduate of Western Reserve High School and earned an associate’s degree from Bowling Green University.
David led a fulfilling life, making notable contributions both professionally and personally. Having owned and operated Canfield Equipment Company for numerous years until his retirement in 1999, David made a lasting impact in the business. His dedication and hard work were evident to all who knew him.
His proud accomplishment was his involvement on the Board for the Centofanti Charitable Foundation, where he selflessly gave back to those in need.
David had a wide range of interests and hobbies that brought him joy. He loved riding his motorcycle, spending leisurely days in Myrtle Beach, and passionately cheering for his favorite team — the Seattle Seahawks. The companionship he received from his dogs — Louie, Rosco, and Toby, brought comfort and happiness into his life.
In his personal life, David cherished moments with his family above all else, especially with his beloved grandchildren Jilly, Chase, and Alana.
He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Kelly, whom he married Feb. 1, 1998. Additionally, he is survived by his daughter, Nicole (Robert) Barnes of Canfield, and sons Brent (Erin) Centofanti of Canfield, Cory Marshall of Canfield and Kyle (Nick) Marshall of Canfield.
