WARREN -- William "Bill" Rigel passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, at his home.
He was born March 17,1931, the son of the late Ben Rigel and the late Georgia Mobley Rigel.
After high school graduation, Bill honorably served in the U.S. Navy and then graduated from Kent State University. He served as an agent and manager for New York Life, Life of Virginia and then Mutual of New York, before transitioning to Merrill Lynch, where he was one of the top brokers in the Youngstown office. He was an active member of the Central Christian Church, the Trumbull Country Club and the Buckeye Club, where he served as president.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Virginia Lee Rigel. He is survived by his nephews, D.G. and Tom Edgerton.
Services will be held at noon Friday, April 12, 2024, at Central Christian Church, where pastor, Marc Runyon will officiate. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, April 12, 2024, at the church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests material contributions be made to Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., Warren, OH 44483, in his memory.
