HOWLAND -- Kimberly Sue Stone Libert, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Friday April 5, 2024, at her home.
She was born on Nov. 22, 1971, in Warren, the daughter of Suzanne Wagoner Hornyak, stepfather, Ray Hornyak and father, Warren Stone. She was a 1989 graduate of Howland High School and attended Trumbull Business College.
Kimberly, affectionately known as Kim or Kimmie Sue, touched the lives of all who knew her with her boundless kindness and warmth. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, especially for her children and grandchildren. They fondly called her "Meana," a name that echoed the special bond they shared. Known for always having a sweet treat in her purse, her "babies" never had to look far for a little bit of joy.
Kim's compassionate nature extended to animals as well, considering her three dogs not just pets, but fur children, too.
For a decade, Kim was devoted to her patients and to her career at Akron Children's Hospital. She took delight in being a comforting presence for children and their families.
Kim leaves behind a loving family, her husband of 34 years, James Libert; her daughter, Kaitlyn (Christopher) Profera; and sons, Garrett (Allison) Libert, Chase Libert and Ethan Libert; and three grandchildren, Avery, Owen and Benjamin. She also is survived by her siblings, Warren (Maria) Stone of North Carolina and Stacey Sarros of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Stone and Suzanne Stone Hornyak, and stepfather, Ray Hornyak.
A service to celebrate Kimberly's life will be at 1 p.m. Friday April 12, 2024 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service.
