Jonathan E. McNemar Sr. 1976-2024

SOUTHINGTON -- Jonathan E. McNemar Sr., age 47, of Southington, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 4, 2024.

He was born May 28, 1976, in Warren, the son of S. Ray McNemar and Ida Mae Frantz McNemar.

Jon has lived in Southington for the last 12 years and was formerly of Leavittsburg, where he graduated from LaBrae High School in the Class of 1994. After high school, he earned his associate degree in graphic design from ITT Technical Institute. He married Amberly S. Ehrheart on Sept. 29, 2012; and they have enjoyed the past 11 years of marriage together. He worked for Stainless Works in Streetsboro as a purchasing coordinator for the last year. Jon formerly worked for Drake Manufacturing in Warren as a purchasing manager for eight years. He also was an Eagle Scout, and a volunteer Firefighter for the Canfield Fire Department for five years. Jon enjoyed all sports, watching the Pittsburgh Penguins, Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Braves. He also coached baseball and helped at the local dirt track as a "Pusher."

He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond McNemar; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Alethia Frantz; and paternal grandparents, Harvey and Ruby McNemar.

Jon is survived by his mother and father, Ray and Ida McNemar of Newton Falls; his wife, Amberly S. McNemar of Southington; one daughter, Jenna McNemar of Leavittsburg; three sons, Jonathan McNemar Jr. of Leavittsburg, Austin McNemar of Southington, and Evan McNemar of Southington; two sisters, Jessica Ensell of Newton Falls and Mary Jo Wymer of Warren; one brother, Aaron (Kristi) McNemar of Kent; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., with calling hours from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. services Friday, March 8, 2024, at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, with Pastor Brad Edder officiating.
