WARREN -- John H. Lively, 70, passed away Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, at Hospice House.
He was born Oct. 10, 1953, in Warren, the son of the late Herbert R Lively and the late Betty Jean Rosenberger Stocker.
He enjoyed gardening his special plants, classic cars and attending car shows and going camping, along with boating on Mosquito Lake. John also liked all forms of racing and had a deep love for animals. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, particularly playing with his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marian "Susie" S. Lively; daughter, Jennifer (David) Alcorn; sister, Debra Dorchock; granddaughters, Jade (Jonathan) Stahl, Hanna (Brandon Scheel) Lichty and Mickayla (Zack Dean) Lichty; great-grandchildren, Hazel, Benjamin and Samuel; niece, Alyson Beckham; nephew, Scott Dorchock; and his faithful companion Molly.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Lively.
A memorial service will be held at noon Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Hospice of the Valley and 6 West floor at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital for the excellent care he received. Their kindness was greatly appreciated.
