SOUTHINGTON -- Sue Ann Tempesta-Caszatt, beloved mother, wife, sister and treasured presence in the lives of many, passed away at the age of 62, on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, in Southington. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and strength that will be forever remembered by those who knew her.
Born Sue Ann Dumire in Warren, she brought warmth and compassion to everyone she met. Her generous spirit and unwavering support touched the lives of many throughout her journey.
Sue is survived by her devoted son, Josh Tempesta; her loving husband, Jacob Caszatt; her dear sister, Sheri Dumire-Hamilton; her nieces, Genevieve and Gabrielle Hamilton; and numerous beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
For almost 40 years, Sue dedicated herself to caring for others as an LPN at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Her compassion, expertise and unwavering dedication to her patients left a lasting impact on all who knew her. In addition to her role as a mother and LPN, Sue was a cherished friend and confidante to many. Her vibrant personality, quick wit and infectious laughter lit up any room she entered, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sue was also preceded in death by her parents, Vance and Genevieve Dumire; and her first husband, Pete Tempesta.
Sue had a deep love for her pet Rottweilers. Bear brought her immense joy and companionship. She was also preceded in death by her beloved Rottweiler, Dakota.
Sue will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Calling hours will be held 10 a.m. to noon and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, at Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive. NE, Warren, OH 44483. Additional calling hours will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at the funeral home, followed by a service starting at 11 a.m.
