CHAMPION -- Doris Mae Hadley, lovingly known as Domae, 96, born Aug. 23, 1927, peacefully passed away at her home the morning of Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Throughout her 96-year journey, Doris Mae offered unaltered love, support and service to family, friends and community. She attended Warren Lutheran Church. She acted as a Cub Scout den mother and was one of the founding members of the Champion women's auxiliary. She was a proud graduate of Warren G. Harding High School; post-graduation she enjoyed creating memorable reunions for her classmates.
Known for her love of her family, she rejoiced in traveling with her late husband. She organized many Fetterman and Weaver family reunions as well as holiday get-togethers for her closest family members.
Doris Mae was preceded in death by her husband, William Hadley; father, Leonard Fetterman; mother, Mildred Fetterman; brother, William Fetterman; and granddaughter, Cassie Hadley.
Domae is survived by her sons, Gary Hadley and wife, Nilsa, and Bruce Hadley.
She leaves behind five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is being planned for this summer.
