LIBERTY --- Robert Vincent Martyak, 66, formerly of Liberty Township, passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at his home in Sanford, North Carolina.
Robert was born Nov. 30, 1957, in Johnstown, Pa. He was a 1976 graduate of Liberty High school.
Bobby had an infectious smile and a joyous, inquisitive nature. He was an avid outdoorsman, who hiked, fished and kayaked in the North Carolina mountains.
Bobby was talented in many areas, especially as a skilled carpenter. He worked as a manufacturing technician for Caterpillar.
He will be remembered and cherished by those who love him.
Robert is survived by his parents, LeeAnne and Robert Martyak; brother, Bryan Martyak (Nydia); sisters, Brenda Odden (Eric) and Bernadette Kish (Andy); wife, Ruby Lawson Martyak; son, Vincent Martyak; stepdaughter, Amanda Kendrick (Jason); granddaughter, Carolina Rose; and stepgrandsons, Gabriel and Garrett.
A private family memorial service will be held in North Carolina.
