WARREN -- Kwang "John" J. Chun, 86, entered into eternal rest Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
He was born June 23, 1937, in Korea, moving to the United States in the early 1960s.
He lived and raised his family in New York. He was a proud American citizen for 50 years.
John worked in the graphic arts field and, for the last several years of his career, owned his own company, CHN Graphics. He was an excellent photographer, having studied at the New York School of Photography. He also had a bachelor's degree in business. John served as a deacon in his church. He enjoyed golf, having a good meal with friends and family, and had a heart of kindness, generosity and compassion for all those around him.
Precious memories of John live on with his two daughters, Tricia Maxwell (Mark) of Warren and Joanne Chun of Edgemont, New York; one grandson, Joshua Maxwell of Warren; one sister, Hae Won Chun of South Korea; and three brothers, Hae Jin Chun, Kook Jin Chun and Duk Jin Chun, all of South Korea.
His father, Sa Young Chun, and mother preceded him in death.
A calling hour will be at 11 a.m. and the service will be at noon Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.
