David D. Lawrence 1950-2023
LAKE PLACID, Florida — David Darrell Lawrence, 73, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, in Lake Placid, Florida, surrounded by family. He was the widower of Jennifer Lawrence and they shared 39 years of marriage together.
Born Aug. 12, 1950, and raised in Newton Falls, he was the middle child of Walter King and Marjorie Fawcett Lawrence. He was employed with the United States Postal Service for over 37 years before retiring. He enjoyed cars of all makes and models. He will be remembered for his kind heart, patient spirit and love of his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Gregory (Nalina) and daughter, Joan (Timothy); and the four little lights of his life, his grandchildren, Gavin and Carson Lawrence and Edward and Alice Moore. He also is survived by his sister, Miriam (Larry); brothers, Tim (Shirley), Bill (Joyce) and Paul (Jean); and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife and his two younger sisters, Lou and Sharon.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m., with calling hours one hour prior to the service Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at James Funeral Home. Pastor David Crosley will officiate. Following the service, interment will take place in Braceville Township Cemetery.
