SOUTHINGTON -- Billy "Joe" Kimbel, 84, of Southington, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at University Hospital of Cleveland.
He was born Aug. 12, 1939, in Linden, Tennessee, a son of the late George Kimbel and Ada Grays Kimbel.
Joe retired from Copperweld Steel as a crane man after over 40 years of service.
He enjoyed bowling, gardening and woodworking. Joe also liked to collect and work on old tractors and mowers. He was a man of faith, who loved his church and family.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Sheila (Rocky) Lattanzo of Canfield and Donna (Terry) Hardesty of Warren; son, Rickey (Patricia) Kimbel of Boardman; daughter, Glenda (Debbie Guthrie) Kimbel of Warren; brother, Miles Kimbel of Farmington; grandson, Dennis Pugh, and granddaughter, Gina Langford.
Besides his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Agnes Kimbel, and five siblings.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024 at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Mike Alger will officiate. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, and also one hour before the service on Thursday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
