ROSWELL, Ga. -- William "Bill" Dominic Loomis died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023. He was only 44 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his death.
Bill was born on Dec. 30, 1978, in Warren, to Stan and Elena Loomis.
Bill's kids were his life. He enjoyed being the Mystery Reader for their class. He never missed an opportunity to encourage them from the sidelines and could be found at Home Depot with the kids for Saturday morning workshops.
Bill graduated from Howland High School in 1997 and The University of Cincinnati with a Masters of Architecture in 2003. After college, Bill took a job with Smallwood, a leading Architecture firm in Atlanta, Georgia, where he became a Principal in 2019. He was well respected by his colleagues at Smallwood as well as throughout the country. He was Project Manager of many Mixed Use, Multi-Family, Office, Industrial and Parking projects including Skyhouse. His code knowledge was second to none. Bill was a registered Architect in eight states and Puerto Rico.
He was a member of the American Institute of Architects, The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and Midtown Alliance. He is an Alumnus of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Bill is survived by his wife, Pam Musheff Loomis, of 16 years; and his children, Ashlyn (11), Jackson (8) and Everly (5).
He is survived by his father, Stan Loomis of Warren; his sisters, MaryBeth (Andy) Siegfried of Akron and Cheri (James) McCandless of Berea; nieces and nephews, Rachel Siegfried, JR McCandless, Kaitlyn McCandless and Walter Siegfried; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Elena Loomis.
Bill will be laid to rest next to his mother in the Loomis family plot at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
Services will be held in Warren the week after Christmas, details are pending.
A memorial service in Atlanta will be held after the first of the year.
