It is with great sadness that we announce the Wednesday, March 29, 2023, passing of Mike Capito, formerly of Warren, Ohio.
Mike was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Warren, the youngest of five children to Jack (Giacomo) and Clara (Nicoletta) Capito.
He began his education at First Street School and continued on to West Junior High School and Warren G. Harding High School, Warren. Mike furthered his education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business at Rollins College, Florida, in 1981.
A Vietnam veteran, Mike retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant after serving 21 years. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, Mike worked 19 years at Harris Semiconductor in Florida.
Mike is survived by his son, Kenneth (Lana); brother, Nunzio Capito (Verne) of Arkansas; sister-in-law, Connie Capito of Arizona; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary J. Petkovich and Grace M. Lutz; brother, George Capito; and brother-in-law, Judge Samuel Petkovich.
A military interment was held Monday, April 24, 2023, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
