George W. Wells 1937-2023

George retired from WCI Steel in Warren.

A graduate of Vernon High School, he attended Tennessee’s Temple University and an electrical tech school in Niles.

George regularly attended Burghill Baptist Church and was involved in the flea market and fair ministry, pointing the way for many to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Virginia Nahm Wells and George Wells; brother, Miles Wells; and sister, Jean Sullinger and her husband, Thomas H. Sullinger.

George is survived by his beautiful wife, Shirley Ann Nichols Wells; and four children, Rebecca Wells of Cortland, Jennifer Kiphart (husband, Brad Kiphart) of Pleasant Plain, Dan Wells (wife, Cassandra Wells) of Kinsman and Katie Robinson (husband, Jamie Robinson) of Blanchester; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In his younger years, George enjoyed flying airplanes and was a student pilot, owning his own airplane and hanger. He enjoyed horticulture and helped his son get a good start in the nursery business. He also enjoyed taking road trips with his family.

Services are being handled by Borowski Funeral and Oak Meadow Cremation, followed by a small private family gathering.
