Russell L. Proudfoot 1967-2023

WARREN -- Russell L. Proudfoot, 56, entered into eternal rest unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 28, 1967, in Broward County, Florida, the son of Harold Proudfoot and Linda Bosak.

Russ graduated from Ohio Aviation Trade School in Cleveland, and later received his CDL to drive semi-truck, which he did for over 20 years. During his time on the road, he proudly received multiple awards for over 1,000,000 miles of safe driving, without a single accident.

Russ was gifted in and loved all things mechanical. He made one of his biggest dreams come true when he opened Proudfoot Powersports, servicing all powersports and motorcycles, with his son, Greg. He was also member and sponsor of Competition Riders of America (CRA). Becoming an ordained minister later in life, Russ was always an inspiration in proving that you can make any and all of your dreams come true, if you work hard enough for it.

Russ was a force of nature, determined to live every day to the fullest and take care of his family. Russ's family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. Russ was unendingly proud of all of his family and friends and supported them all with love and laughs regardless of any obstacle he may have been facing. He was passionate about rebuilding and remodeling anything with an engine, racing and live music. When Russ wasn't working in his shop or home, he could be found at his son's races, his daughter's concerts, swap meets, camping, or taking his family out to make memories.

Loving memories of Russ live on with his companion, Judy Fike, with whom he spent 23 years; a daughter, Elizabeth Proudfoot of Parma; four sons, Greg Proudfoot of Warren, Chris Proudfoot of Franklin, Pa., Shaun Thomas of Warren, Pa., and Russell Blubaugh of Cleveland; a stepdaughter, Tiffine Fike (Kyle Frazier) of Warren; four grandchildren, Carter Proudfoot, Zoey Proudfoot, Addison Frazier, and Dakota Davis; two sisters, Kathy Lukas (Dan) of Cuyahoga Falls and Melissa Proudfoot of Warren; and two brothers, Joseph Hummel (Julie) of Arizona and Jeff Hafer (Deeanna) of Leesburg, Va.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister, Kimberly.

The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.
