Rachael Consla 1935-2023

FOWLER -- Rachael Consla, 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 20, 1935, a daughter of the late George and Nellie Clark Monroe.

Rachael was a baker for the Blackhawk School District while raising her children. (It is said that she made the best peanut butter cookies). She was an activities director for Glenview Manor and helped with Vacation Bible School and was on the Praise Team at Grace Nazarene Church.

She enjoyed doing crafts, watching birds, singing, playing the guitar and drinking coffee. She was always on the phone with her family and friends.

Rachael is survived by her daughters, Cathy Consla (Kathy Bell), Kimbra Williamson (Michael) and Patricia Currington (Michael); sister, Nancy Spatholt (Bob); sister-in-law, Kay Monroe; grandchildren, Aubrey, Amanda, Bradley, Skyler and Rebecca; and great-grandchildren, Eliana, Brennan, Declan, and Rowan.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Consla; five brothers; and two sisters.

A caring cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
