Dona K. Mihokovich 1931-2023

She was born Dec. 13, 1931, in Independence, the daughter of Benjamin H. and Katherine Otten Hart.

For many years Dona and John resided in Vienna and were members of St. Paul the Apostle Church and recently members of St. Stephen Church in Niles.

She owned Dona’s Place Bar and Grill in Warren for 15 years. Dona was an active contributor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Dona’s Place sponsored many golf outing field days and motorcycle runs to support St. Jude’s. She enjoyed cooking and baking professionally.

Dona is survived by her husband of 64 years John F. Mihokovich whom she married June 6, 1959; son, Donald A. (Joni) Mihokovich of Odessa, Florida; daughter-in-law, Christine Mihokovich of Niles; four grandchildren, John L. Mihokovich, Benjamin A. Mihokovich, Christopher Mihokovich and Cassandra Mihokovich; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Francis John “Frank” Mihokovich, who died Nov. 30, 2002, and her 10 siblings.

A Service of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Deacon Frank Marino will officiate.

Entombment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Vienna.

Material contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
