Teri A. Becker 1945-2023

NEWTON FALLS -- Teri A. Becker, 77, of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, April 24, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 26, 1945, in Toledo, the daughter of the late Kenneth Irving Massie and Dorothy Irene Henry Massie.

Teri has lived in Newton Falls for the last 32 years. She also lived in Newton Falls while her husband was stationed at the Ravenna Arsenal from 1980 to 1985. Teri never knew a stranger and enjoyed talking to anyone she met about her life. She was deeply proud of her children and family and a devoted Navy wife, living in many places across the country and volunteering as an ombudsman, to help other military families. Teri loved playing games, especially trivia, and her sharp wit and competitive spirit made her hard to beat. She was an active member of the Church of God and enjoyed reading, crocheting, plastic crafts, traveling and collecting Snowbabies. Her wealth of knowledge, playful spirit and passion for life brought joy to all who knew her.

Teri was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard L. Becker II; one brother, Kenneth Massie; and two sisters, Roberta J. Massie and Vicki Keaton.

Teri is survived by her husband, Richard L. Becker of Newton Falls; two daughters, Trina (Michael) McGivern of Perrysburg and Dee (Ron) Howard of Newton Falls; one son, Richard (Jennifer) Becker III of Northwood; one brother, Dennis Massie of Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Summer, Seth, Simeon, Noelle, Kelly, Mikayla and Kristin; and seven great-grandchildren, Caleb, Aiden, Carson, Kennedy, Carter, Neeley and Graham.
