COSHOCTON -- Sue M. Turney Connor, 69, of Coshocton, formerly of Niles, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in Mercy Health-St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Sue was born in June 8, 1953, in Youngstown.
She spent her youth in Austintown and obtained her GED in 1971. Sue would then graduate, with honors, as a medical assistant from Harding Business College.
She was employed by Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Niles for 26 years as a medical secretary.
Her interests included bingo, going to casinos and crocheting.
Sue was a longtime member of the HSUS and the ASPCA.
Sue is survived by her husband, Patrick "Mel" Connor; her daughter, Becky Gardner-Oswald; her son, Jeff Gardner; and her granddaughter, Jaelynn Gardner, who was the light of her life and whom she loved to the moon and back; her sister, Nancy Holmes of Boardman; and her brothers, Bill Turney and Tom Turney (Jan), both of Youngstown.
Preceding Sue in death were her parents, William and Katherine Turney, and a son on Jan. 13, 1970.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
