WARREN -- Donald "Woody" Woods, 84, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital, following complications from an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Sara Woods.
Woody was employed with Ironworkers Local 207 for 30 years, retiring in 2005. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Natalie Sabrina Jenkins of Greensboro, N.C., Mrs. Delicia Dawn "Lee" McCain of Blythewood, S.C., and Ms. Aries Markie Ford of Warren; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dontae Wesson.
Funeral services will be held noon Wednesday, with calling hours from 11 a.m. to noon, at New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will take place in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
