WARREN -- Allen R. Sapp, 68, passed unexpectedly at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
He was born Feb. 23, 1954, in Warren, the son of Edwin F. and Ruby A. Hembree Sapp. Ray was nicknamed "Red Dog" or often called "Razor."
Ray was a mason by trade but very handy -- he was a jack of all trades.
Many remember him while camping at Paradise Lake Park while watching bluegrass with his large family and many friends. They would often have gatherings that would involve fishing, hunting, card games, country music and lots of fun. Some would enjoy hunting, fishing and boating fun at the cabins in Pennsylvania.
Memories of Ray will be carried on by his family, his loving wife of 49 years, Patty; his daughter and son-in-law, Nina and Rex Jordan; his son, Tim Sapp; his grandchildren, Jordan, Trey and Salina; his great-grandson, Mayson; his siblings, Susan Denna, Lou Ann Sapp and Karen (Keith) Urso; and his nieces and nephews and so many others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Ruby Sapp; and his siblings, Danny Sapp and Stan Sapp.
Family and friends may gather for a memorial service from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Ave. NW, Warren, OH 44485.
